January's Monthly Inspiration

EXPECT THE GREAT 2012

As 2011 comes to a close, you can reflect back on our life from the passing year. It may have been a rough year for some.
Some may have lost loved ones, suffered sickness, or perhaps financial hardship. Others may have had events of
celebrations such as weddings, births and graduations. Whatever the past year held for you, may you take all of your
experiences and learn to grow from them. Move forward in 2012.

God never promised us that we would not have struggles; but He did promise us that He would always be there. God
sees and knows about everything we go through. We can rest assure that
ALL things work together for good to them that
love God (Romans 8:28).
That means every “good and bad” thing that you may experience in life, God has your back and
he is in full control. Expect God to do some amazing and great things in 2012!

Each year you should strive to become a better person in Christ.  If  you are still in the same position that you were
in last year and see no growth, there could be a problem. You may need to reevaluate some things and come up with a plan.
If you want things to change, then you have to do things differently; otherwise you will get the same results.
When you start writing your plan, pray and ask God for wisdom and guidance. List the steps or actions you will take
to fulfill your plan. Be specific. Then begin to follow through with your steps. Don’t procrastinate, because eventually
you will not fulfill your plan. Post your plan somewhere that you can see it to remind you.  If  you are expecting God to
do great things, then you must be in a position to receive them.

I’m so excited about the things God is going to do in 2012! Love and laugh harder than you did in 2011! Plan to live
life to the fullest in Christ. Wait and watch in expectation. There is no limit to God and what he can do!

But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things are before, I
press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14
